Big Changes for 2021

They say hindsight is 2020, but this has been a year of unique challenges, and one we’d all like to forget – but what about the prospects for 2021? At Appijo, we pride ourselves on being small and independent – while working alongside creative individuals in various fields to deliver fun & entertainment for our players.

Here’s a quick rundown of some brand-new things to look forward to over the next year!

New R&D Label Launch

Appijo Studio North is our new sub-label focused on R&D and engine development projects; including larger/more complex games developed with evolving technologies, while the main Appijo brand will continue to focus on more casual mobile titles. More on this later in the year.

Engine Updates

Our in-house graphics engine, dScene is being updated to include more modern rendering tech, improved material & lighting support, and many more new features that will make our future games pop with vibrant and high-fidelity mobile graphics. dScene version 3 is still in early development, and we’ll keep you updated as more info becomes available!

New Year, New Games

We have some great new casual titles planned for 2021 – the first of which will be ‘Tato Mash‘ – a hyper-casual game of quick reactions and fun potato physics! We also have a brand-new puzzle game in the works, and some big plans for a range of retro-style arcade games. We’ll let you know more about this and our other games coming soon, so watch this space.

Game Updates

We’re working on some exciting updates to our existing library of games, with some surprising new features for the next version of Mazuna World, and a bunch of improvements for Confuza Ball and others! The first of these updates is planned for late January 2021.
